I have been an artist my entire life.  We established Pumpkin Creek Pottery in 2006 and built our wood fired kiln in 2007.   We have operated Pumpkin Creek full time since 2009.

Much of my work is whimsical in nature.  I am not a production potter in the strictest sense as we produce various styles of stoneware and earthenware pieces throughout the year.    I like to explore different methods of firing and thus our products vary depending on the intended use of the piece.  I like to say all our work is aesthetically functional, whether utilitarian or not.

My education includes a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from East Carolina University and a BFA from Western Caroina University as well as a lot of trying and discovering.
